Exempt Categories Application
A special card issued by the Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah for the disabled, the elderly and the beneficiaries of social assistance.
It is an official document that enables the owner to use the public transport service within Sharjah city free of charge.

- Copy of Passport
- Copy of Emirates ID
- Copy of ID Card from Ministry of Community Department
- Copy of ID Card from Social Services Department
New Card
New Exempt Category Card is Free for 1st Year
Renewal Card:
Renewal fee: 25 AED inclusive of 5% VAT will be charged for the Exempt Card every year
Lost or Damaged Card:
One time payment of AED 5.00 inclusive of 5% VAT for the new card cost

All the New Exempt Category Cards, Renewal and Replacement Cards can be collected from Government of Sharjah - Roads & Transport Authority, Al Jubail Bus Terminal Cashier Office

The applicant must be a UAE national or resident of the UAE.
The applicant must be disabled or elderly.
The applicant must have a card stating the existence of a disability from the Ministry of Community Development (for persons with disabilities).
The applicant must have a card for beneficiaries of social assistance and registered in the Department of Social Services.
